Belter puts you at the controls of a lone spacecraft surrounded by an endless field of asteroids, and your job is straightforward: don't die. This classic browser game takes the spirit of the original Asteroids arcade title and gives it a modern coat of polish — tighter movement, cleaner visuals, and the same core loop that has been addicting players for decades.

Controls and Mechanics

Navigate your ship with the arrow keys and fire with the spacebar. Asteroids drift toward you from all directions, and your laser blasts break them into smaller chunks — which then need to be destroyed too before they can close in. The threat multiplies as you play: each large rock you shatter becomes two or three smaller ones, and the smaller ones are faster. Clearing the screen completely to advance is the challenge.

What makes Belter compelling is the way pressure accumulates. Early waves give you room to breathe and find your rhythm. But the field fills up quickly, forcing constant movement and split-second decisions about which rocks to target first.
