Number Match

Number Match looks like a simple grid of numbers — until you realize the only way to clear it is to find every pair that adds up to ten or matches exactly. One click at a time, rows dissolve and the grid reshuffles. It's a math puzzle game for children and adults alike that rewards attention far more than speed.

How to Play

The board presents a series of numbers from 1 to 9. Your goal is to eliminate them all by selecting matching pairs: two identical numbers, or two numbers that sum to 10 (like 3 and 7, or 1 and 9). Pairs must be adjacent — either directly next to each other or connected by an unbroken line of empty cells across rows. When no more moves exist on the visible grid, all remaining numbers are appended to the bottom and the hunt continues.

As the grid fills up, planning ahead becomes essential. Clearing pairs in the wrong order can leave isolated numbers with no valid partner — a small miscalculation that forces you to work through a much larger board than necessary.

Why It Works as a Math Game

Number Match teaches arithmetic through repetition that doesn't feel like practice. Adding to ten is one of the earliest mental math benchmarks, and the game drills it at the exact pace the player sets. There's no timer creating panic — just a growing grid and the quiet satisfaction of watching numbers vanish.

Compatible with both desktop browsers and mobile devices, it's an ideal short-session game for children building number sense, or anyone who wants a calm mental workout. Simple to start, surprisingly deep to master.
